Welcome to this latest version of the Open-Xchange Newsletter. 
We would like to make everyone aware that there are a couple of 
new ways to upgrade from older versions of Open-Xchange to 
the latest product generation: 


1. Open-Xchange Server 5 to Open-Xchange Server Edition

To ensure a seamless upgrade process to the new Open-Xchange 
Server Edition, we are offering free “Data Migration Tools”. 
A defined data set will be extracted from the Open-Xchange 5 
Server and converted to the universal export format. 
This data then will be moved into Open-Xchange Server Edition 
with an import tool.
 The following data types are currently 
supported by the Data Migration Tools: users, groups, resources, 
folders, tasks, calendars, contacts, attachments.

2. Open-Xchange Express Edition to Open-Xchange Appliance Edition

The Open-Xchange Express Edition (OXEE) was launched back 
in 2007 and its successor product, Open-Xchange Appliance 
Edition, has now been available for six months. OXEE users 
can benefit with a number of very exciting new updates and 
enhancements by migrating to the new Open-Xchange 6 server 
generation. Open-Xchange offers “Data Migration Tools” to 
all clients and partners at no cost. Those are available here,

3. Open-Xchange Competence Center support for your migration project

So far, there are two Open-Xchange Migration Competence Centers 
that support your migration project from Open-Xchange Server 5, 
Open-Xchange Express Edition and also from Suse Linux
