[Open-Xchange App Suite Maintenance Announcements]

Dear Customers of Open-Xchange,

This new release provides an update for OX App Suite v8.30. With every release of Open-Xchange's products we try to enhance functionality, improve stability, refine the user experience, and make operations easier.

Enhancements in OX App Suite v8.30

We are pleased to introduce the latest enhancements for OX App Suite. These are mainly focused on optimizing the user experience, technical performance, and reducing user accounts management effort.

- We continue to improve user onboarding and general user experience. In this release we have added a new way to authenticate users across devices. Logging in on another device is now as easy as scanning a QR code. 

- In addition, it is now possible to get notified about new emails even if your browser window is closed. This feature requires OX App Suite to be “installed” on your device.

General Information - Breaking Change

- Cache handling for the Imageconverter is changed in a way that causes incompatibility issues. Please read https://confluence-public.open-xchange.com/display/SKB/Howto+provide+proper+Imageconverter+schemas+after+8.30+upgrade for more details.

- Hazelcast related roles have been removed from the Helm chart - As previously announced, in the OX App Suite v8.29 announcement, Hazelcast is now only required for OX Documents as of OX App Suite v8.30. - Minimum required Redis version - As previously announced, in the OX App Suite v8.28 announcement, from version 8.30 OX App Suite will require Redis v7.4. Please read https://documentation.open-xchange.com/appsuite/releases/8.30/noteworthy/#minimum-required-redis-version for more details.
