[appsuite-announce] OX App Suite v8.35 LTS and v7.10.6 LTS

[Open-Xchange App Suite Maintenance Announcements]

Dear Customers of Open-Xchange,   

We would like to notify you that the released OX App Suite v8.35 will be the first official Long Term Support (LTS) release of our OX App Suite v8 generation. Please note that with this release Open-Xchange will also announce that OX App Suite v7.10.6 is also a Long Term Support (LTS) release, supported until December 2026. 

Also, based on feedback, we would like to improve our support commitment strategy for OX App Suite v8.x standard releases. With the launch of v8.35 we will start to support, not just the current launched release, but also the last 'two' released version. 

In summary:

- OX App Suite v8 (Standard): The release cadence is four weeks. Support for a release is 12 weeks which ends with the availability of the next 3rd release.

- OX App Suite v8 (LTS): Long Term Support releases are intended to be released every year. The initial LTS release will be based on a carefully chosen standard release that contain all changes (features and bug fixes) since the last LTS. A LTS release will be supported until the next LTS 'plus six months' to give customers enough time to schedule, test and rollout the upgrade.

- OX App Suite v7 (LTS): Support Commitment is until December 2026.

Open-Xchange encourages administrators to regularly update to the latest available release. To ensure a stable and up to date environment please note the different versions supported.
