[Open-Xchange App Suite Maintenance Announcements]

Dear Customers of Open-Xchange,

This new release provides an update for OX App Suite v8.46. With every release of Open-Xchange's products we try to enhance functionality, improve stability, refine the user experience, and make operations easier.

Enhancements in this release include:

- This release introduces support for Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI). BIMI lets mailbox providers display a verified company logo next to incoming messages. In the OX App Suite UI, the BIMI logo is resolved and rendered locally so we can offer a preview in the compose dialogue, enrich list views, and expose debugging details to administrators. - This OX App Suite release brings a range of user experience improvements across mail, calendar and task components. A list of all improvements can be found here: https://documentation.open-xchange.com/appsuite/releases/8.46/changelogs/ui.html

General Information and Breaking Change

This release contains breaking changes that require attention before updating.

- The OX App Suite Core UI service now handles JWT issuing, replacing Switchboard for this functionality. This affects multiple components. - The Core UI has migrated from a static nginx-based container to a dynamic Node.js service. This enables new features like BIMI but requires resource adjustments. - As mentioned in the blogpost https://kubernetes.io/blog/2025/11/11/ingress-nginx-retirement/, upstream support for Ingress NGINX will cease at the end of March, and the project will be retired. Please note, our support for Ingress NGINX in OX App Suite v8 will also be discontinued at the same time.
