Dear Customers of Open-Xchange,

As our valued customers, we want to inform you that we rename the release levels of Open-Xchange. As our so-called “Program Temporary Fix” (PTF) and “Public Program Temporary Fix” (Public PTF) provide you with bug fixes as well as with feature enhancements, we will call them “Patch Release” and “Public Patch Release”, as these terms are commonly used in the software industry.

This renaming of Open-Xchange release levels does not come with any changes regarding their definition. You will find further information about target audience, frequency and support commitment at
http://oxpedia.org/wiki/index.php?title=Versioning_and_Numbering#Release_Levels_of_Open-Xchange

As customer of Open-Xchange products, you will benefit directly from enhancements of new Patch Releases:
- Patch Releases (former “PTF”) provide modifications of software with the aim of solving one or more specific problems.
- Public Patch Releases (former „Public PTF“) provide modifications of software with the aim of solving one or more specific problems or small customer requests.

For further information, please contact us at info at open-xchange.com

Best regards,
Your Open-Xchange Team
