[Open-Xchange Server Edition Maintenance Announcements]

Dear Customers of Open-Xchange,
 
Today Open-Xchange releases Open-Xchange Server v.6.18.1. This Update includes new versions of
 
- Open-Xchange Server 6 (OX6), the common basis for the products OX HE (Hosting Edition) and OX SE (Server Edition), and the
- OXtender for Microsoft Outlook
- OX Client Updater
- OXtender for Business Mobility
 
The Open-Xchange Server 6 v6.18.1 is available for all customers with a valid Open-Xchange license.
 
This release presents a number of user interface improvements, including new convenient folder tree and side bar design, more convenient Social OX managing possibilities, general usability enhancements and additional features making the interface easier to use and more appealing:
 
- Convenient Folder Tree and Side Panel Design
- Managing subscribed and published folders
- Java 6 is officially supported
- Dovecot 2.0 is officially supported
- Platform support of HTC Clients and Android v.2.1 & v.2.2

The version number is the same for the groupware server and the groupware front-end.

b) in the About dialog (Question icon in the upper right -> About)
 
- OXtender for MS Outlook
Version: v6.18.6 (2010-10-13)
File name: OXtender_for_Microsoft_Outlook_<language>_6.18.6.msi
When you report bugs, please include the version number in your report. 
The version number can be found 
a) in the splash screen when starting Outlook 
b) Extras -> OXtender for MS Outlook -> About
 
- OX Client Updater
Version: v6.18.2 (2010-09-14)
 
- OXtender for Business Mobility
File names: open-xchange-usm; open-xchange-eas 
When you report bugs, please select “6.18.1” from the version field.

Installation of Open-Xchange 6 v.6.18.1:

Open-Xchange discontinues support for Open-Xchange WebDAV XML API until End of September 2012
 
Open-Xchange will discontinue our support of the WebDAV XML API, though we will continue to fix bugs in the category "blockers", "critical" and "major" the API until September 30, 2012.
 
Starting with the next generation of OXtender for Microsoft Outlook (based on MAPI technology), the Open-Xchange WebDAV XML API isn't longer used for the synchronization.
