[Open-Xchange Server Edition Maintenance Announcements]

Dear Customers of Open-Xchange,

This new release provides an update for OX App Suite v8.48. With every release of Open-Xchange's products we try to enhance functionality, improve stability, refine the user experience, and make operations easier.

Enhancements in this release:

- Added DAVx⁵ Select as an onboarding option for Android CalDAV/CardDAV sync

Since our planned sunsetting of our OX Sync App at the end of 2025, Android users have had to rely on third-party apps to synchronize contacts and calendars to their Android devices over CalDAV and CardDAV. In close partnership with bitfire web engineering GmbH, we now recommend users download its free-of-charge DAVx⁵ Select app from the Google Play Store, which will allow them to synchronize contacts and calendars between OX App Suite and Android devices. Starting with OX App Suite v8.48, our "Connect Your Device Wizard" provides an easy way to configure bitfire's DAVx⁵ Select app from within OX App Suite. Users will benefit from a guided onboarding process, making it easier than ever to configure synchronization in just a few steps. - Added support for Shared Accounts for Mail and Calendar. This new functionality enables multiple users to access and work with a shared mailbox/calendar. This requires server-side provisioning and configuration, including mail server mailboxes and OX App Suite Middleware support. General Information and Breaking Change
